Myona Charolais takes this opportunity to welcome you to The Golden Opportunity Sale held at the Coonamble Saleyards on Wednesday 31th August, 2022. This will be our first Sale of our Stud & Commercial Cattle, our goal is to bring to the Market genetics the breeders can use in their herds to maximise their Profits. We have been breeding commercial cattle since the 1970s, experimenting with different breeds of cattle over the years, before settling for the Charolais breed, starting a small stud in 2010 along with the help of Stephen Martin with managing the stud, firstly we purchasing Females from Palgrove Charolais Sale to start off our breeding programme, then starting off with purchasing semen from Champion Sires from Canada, we found that these Sires bred the modern Charolais of early maturing with plenty of beef to suit the Breeders.
Our Sire SVY Grizzly added the early maturing genetics to our herd with great results, he is a Champion Sire from Canada. In 2020 we purchased Semen from the Silver Stream Stud in New Zealand, Silver Stream National N40 Sire & very happy with his Progeny.
This year we purchased the sole rights in Australia, the Champion Sire, SVY Trust 6H, this Sire is an outstanding individual, who has captured the attention of Breeders across America & around the world, from a young age he was a stand out, so ticks all the boxes & now in Australia with our purchase, this Sires Dam is a Champion in her own right, being the Star Struck line, ¾ interest in this Bull was sold in Canada for $123,000, we have cows preg-tested in calf to this Sire. At this Sale we will be offering Bulls & Stud Females along with semen from our Champion Sires.
